今天由金衛弟兄為我們做見證

Talked about when he was a little kid, he ate a type of fruit which might be poisonous. He heard from the older kids that, anyone who eats this kind of fruit will die in a few days. Jing Wei, therefore, often felt that he is going to die before going to the bed. Because of that, Jing Wei always wondered of the meaning of life. He also feels that life is really empty. When Jing Wei went to USA to study, he went to a gospel camp invited by David Thompson. Jing Wei thinks David is a very interesting man. David went to the Soviet Union, and was touched by Jesus in that place. During the Gospel camp, Jing Wei always ended up sleeping late because there were people who always want to talk to him, especially about the gospel. He remembered two people especially. One is an American friend and another is a Malaysian friend. They always kept him from sleeping early by having long conversations with him. They told him about the “Eternal Life” and Jing Wei’s fearful character of dying led him easily to pursue this “Eternal Life”. After the prayer from Jing Wei’s friends, Jing Wei wanted not only to seek this “Eternal Life”, but also to tell his own father about the good news.

1.約翰福音John 13: 1-11
-The discussion is related to Jesus washing the feet of His disciple.
-Jesus has the power, but He is still very humble. Jesus knew Judas will betray him, but He still washes his feet just like He washes the other disciples
-Mathew 26: 20-25 indicated Jesus directly answered Judas’ question regarding to who the betrayer is
-As indicated in verses 14-16, we ought to follow the example from Jesus; to wash the feet and to serve the others
-Parables in the verses

oTaking a shower: to put your belief in God

oWashing the feet: To ask for forgiveness and to continuously seek for redemption

Question for thought: Why Judas is still unclean after being washed by Jesus?

-Philippians 2: 5-9: There is the need to serve others, to put yourself in a lower position, to be a servant, and to not be arrogant or proud.
